I spent literally an hour looking through sheet sets on Amazon. It seemed like every set had some sort of critical / fatal flaw as I read the reviews, from excessive wrinkling to pockets that weren't deep enough to scratchiness to all sorts of things. I almost gave up and just went to Marshalls. I decided to go ahead and order these, and am happy I did. However, before I go further, one correction: THESE SHEETS ARE NOT MADE IN SPAIN. At least the set I received wasn't... it was MADE IN CHINA, like everything else it seems these days. Other than that, though, very happy with these sheets...very luxurious, silky smooth, and have a nice "snap" to them that quality sheets have when you pull them tight. One thing about the color I ordered, Ivory... it's a little less "red" than most Ivories, and a little more "green/grey"...but still classified as Ivory. In contrast, the Renaissance sheets I ordered from Amazon, which I don't like as much, were a redder Ivory (think french vanilla ice cream...yellowish/red). Overall, very happy with these sheets!

These supposedly 1000ct sheets are no softer than the 250s I've purchased at Target. The label in the package only said Pike Street, nothing else. I think these are a knock-off. Don't buy them!

For 1000 TC, Egyptian Cotton, Single ply sheets I was expecting heaven! However, these were more like cardboard at first touch. They weren't thick, or soft, and the construction seemed questionable. Not sure about the fit or if these softened up after washing since these were purchased as a present. According to the other reviews it seemed like this product is hit or miss. I guess my set purchased was a miss and I probably will not purchase this brand again even if the price is what made this purchase so attractive. So,1 star for price and 1 star for ship time.

The sheets are of good quality. They are rough when you first get them. I had to wash them at least six times before they started to feel soft enough to sleep on. I have a set of 400 thread Martha Stewart sheets from Kmart that were soft after only one washing. Wrinkles: Yes, they come out of the dryer very wrinkled. I don't care about wrinkles so they don't bother me. Size: I have an older regular Queen-size mattress and have to carefully position the flat sheet so that I can tuck it in on both sides. Another few inches of width would greatly improve the perceived quality. Oddly enough, the fitted sheet is more than big enough to cover the mattress and thick mattress pad without extra effort. Conclusion: I won't buy another set.

As the title of the review states, you must wash these sheets first before they feel like a 1000 count sheet should feel like. The sheets are very good quality, especially considering the price you pay for them. They were stiff right out of the package, but don't let that fool you. After a run through the washing machine and dryer with my wife's favorite fabric softener they softened up dramatically. So if you get them and they feel rough, don't worry...after a few runs through the wash they'll feel better and better.
